About The Position

Analog Devices Federal LLC (ADFED), a wholly owned subsidiary of Analog Devices, Inc., is searching for a Senior Process Engineer to support the manufacture of complex hybrid microelectronics for commercial, space, and military applications. This role involves planning, performing, and reporting on projects aimed at improving delivery, quality, and cost metrics of production programs. The engineer will collaborate across various departments including engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to achieve goals. Key responsibilities include supporting hermetic sealing and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) processes, as well as contributing to design, continuous improvement, and root-cause corrective action tasks. The role also involves establishing new processes, improving current ones, and supporting operational competency in areas such as hand assembly, epoxy cure ovens, laser and seam sealing systems, environmental testing, and automated/manual die attach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' experience in electronics manufacturing
  • Understanding of MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534, and other associated standards preferred
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions, interpret equipment manuals and process documentation.
  • Good hand-eye coordination for work under a microscope is necessary.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Minitab statistical software, and AutoCAD or related modeling software.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Active security clearance or a willingness to apply for a security clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in a highly controlled medical or defense manufacturing area preferred.
  • General working knowledge of automated processing equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, perform, and report on projects targeted at improving delivery, quality, and cost metrics of production programs with the support of senior members of the team.
  • Collaborate across the organization with different engineering functions, operations, quality, supply chain, and management to ensure goals are met.
  • Support hermetic sealing and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) processes.
  • Support design, continuous improvement, and root-cause corrective action tasks.
  • Establish new processes and improve current processes.
  • Support the competency of operations across hand assembly, epoxy cure ovens, laser and seam sealing systems, Environmental (ESS) testing, and automated and manual die attach (Datacon).
