About The Position

The Senior Process Engineer – Purified Water Systems serves as the corporate technical authority for purified water systems across Voyant Beauty's manufacturing network. This role provides strategic and technical leadership to ensure consistent system performance, regulatory compliance, reliability, and continuous improvement across multiple manufacturing facilities. The Senior Process Engineer partners closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Validation, EHS, and site leadership teams to establish standards, improve system performance, implement best practices, and drive accountability across the organization. This position is responsible for developing and monitoring enterprise-wide performance metrics, supporting capital projects, mitigating operational risk, and ensuring purified water systems consistently meet regulatory and quality requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 4-6 years of experience supporting purified water systems, high-purity water systems, or utility systems in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting multiple sites or operating in a corporate engineering role.
  • 1-3 years knowledge of purified water system design, operation, validation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • 1-3 years with clean design principles and validation practices.
  • 1-3 years working knowledge of water system microbiology and contamination control principles.
  • 1-3 years developing KPIs, analyzing operational data, and driving performance improvements.
  • 1-3 years demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight and governance of purified water systems across multiple manufacturing sites to ensure reliability, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Establish, monitor, and analyze system performance KPIs, trends, and reporting metrics to drive data-based decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for purified water system design, operation, troubleshooting, validation, maintenance, and optimization, including RO, EDI, UV, ozone, storage, and distribution systems.
  • Lead root cause investigations, CAPAs, risk assessments, and corrective actions related to water system performance, quality events, and compliance concerns.
  • Partner with site teams to standardize operating procedures, maintenance practices, monitoring programs, and reporting requirements across the network.
  • Support capital projects, system upgrades, expansions, and new installations by providing technical guidance and design review.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Validation, Operations, Engineering, and EHS teams to ensure regulatory compliance and support site objectives.
  • Develop and deliver training programs, technical guidance, and best practice documentation to improve organizational capability and ownership.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes to enhance system performance and compliance strategies.
  • Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, and proactive problem-solving across manufacturing sites.
  • Support change control processes and ensure appropriate communication and implementation of system changes.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as the purified water system subject matter expert.
  • Assist with regulatory inspections and customer audits as required.
  • Support enterprise engineering initiatives and strategic improvement projects.
  • Provide occasional off-hours support during significant system disruptions or implementation activities.
  • Ability to visit manufacturing environments and utility areas.
  • Ability to inspect equipment, climb stairs, and access elevated platforms when necessary.
  • Frequent use of computers and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Remote or plant-based position supporting multiple manufacturing locations.
  • Frequent interaction with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and validation teams.
  • Occasional off-hours support during system failures, startup activities, audits, or implementation projects.
