About The Position

Tyson Foods, Inc. is hiring a Senior Engineer Logistics Data in Springdale, Arkansas. The role architects scalable data solutions, including data warehousing and big data technologies, and ensures they align with organizational goals. It partners with stakeholders on data architecture for Tyson Private Fleet and coordinates integrations with third-party vendors. The position leads data visualization strategy and works with business stakeholders to identify priorities and develop impactful Power BI reports. It designs and orchestrates complex data pipelines and ETL processes, optimizes data models, and collaborates with IT developers on data ingestion for the Tyson data lake. This includes creating entity relationship diagrams, developing ETL code, and transforming and cleansing data. The role establishes data governance and security practices, optimizes cloud costs, and designs and deploys enterprise-scale data visualization solutions. It resolves complex escalations, protects sensitive information, communicates with stakeholders, and holds weekly project meetings with Tyson Private Fleet, Transportation Safety, and Transportation Operations. It also automates reporting and mentors junior engineers and interns in report creation, SQL, scripting, and advanced data visualization. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Business Analytics, Logistics, Data Science, or a related field.
Three years of experience in the position offered or a related role, including developing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise-level reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI or Tableau.
One year of experience supporting enterprise business intelligence environments on Google BigQuery and Microsoft SQL Server.
One year of experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and data models using SQL Server Management Studio and Google BigQuery.
One year of experience designing and delivering automated dashboards and data visualizations for business decision-making using platforms such as Power BI and Tableau.
One year of experience designing, maintaining, and querying relational databases using SQL Server Management Studio and Google BigQuery.
One year of experience supporting large software implementations by coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders, gathering and documenting data requirements, defining outcomes, and translating business needs into enterprise-standard data models and visualization solutions.

Responsibilities

Work with third-party vendors to incorporate functionality and evaluate tools.
Resolve complex escalations and situations and drive effective resolutions.
Protect sensitive information by adhering to data privacy and security practices.
Conduct weekly meetings with Tyson Private Fleet, Transportation Safety, and Transportation Operations stakeholders to discuss projects and address visualization needs.
Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Mentor and support junior engineers and interns in report creation, SQL, scripting, and advanced data visualization techniques.
