Requirements

B.S. in Electrical Engineering
7.5 years of professional PCB layout experience
Good knowledge of signal integrity and PCB thermal analysis
Familiarity with Mechanical CAD package (SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk Fusion/Inventor) or equivalent
Ability to find, collect, and analyze technical information from various sources
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills

Master’s in electrical engineering

Responsibilities

PCB layout of Microchip hardware Dev Tool products
Work closely with HW Design team to develop PCBs governed by manufacturability, testability requirements, safety guidelines, EMC and RoHS compliancy
Design of high-speed digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics using Altium Design Software, Siemens Xpedition or other equivalent EDA tools
Maintains HW Quality process documents (PCB/Sch, BOM, product drawings and assembly)
Contributes to company wide librarian functions for component creation
Generates Gerber outputs, stacking, drilling detail, and component placement
Coordinate closely with PCB vendors and Assembly Contract Manufacturers
