Senior Engineer I, Electrical Systems Design

Schneider Electric•Franklin, OH

About The Position

The Senior Engineer I, Electrical Systems Design serves as the technical lead for unit substation order design, integration, and coordination within the Medium Voltage Transformer team. The role provides technical direction and workflow leadership while remaining an individual contributor without direct people-management responsibility. It partners with sales, project execution, engineering, production, and supplying partners to deliver technically sound, coordinated unit substation solutions and support business growth. The engineer reviews complex designs and coordination packages, establishes engineering standards and reusable documentation, coordinates orders using SAP and digital tools, and leads technical issue resolution. The role also mentors peers, develops and delivers training, improves end-to-end engineering and order-management processes, and aligns CAD-based designs for complex or nonstandard applications. It calls for strong electrical engineering judgment, customer focus, and the ability to coordinate technical priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
