About The Position

Entegris is seeking a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join our Electrostatic Chuck R&D team at our i2M Bedford facility. In this role, you will drive the research, design, and development of next-generation electrostatic chuck technologies, directly supporting cutting-edge semiconductor applications. This is a highly technical, hands-on role for someone who thrives in innovation-driven environments and enjoys solving complex engineering challenges.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in R&D or product development in a technical discipline
  • Strong knowledge of: Electrostatics, electrical circuits, and insulation systems
  • High-voltage systems (up to 20kV)
  • Hands-on experience with designing, building, and testing electrical systems
  • Experience with electrical field modeling tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL, MATLAB, SolidWorks)
  • Familiarity with statistical and quality methodologies (Six Sigma, DOE, FMEA, MSA)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Experience with semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and performance evaluation of electrostatic chucks for OEM applications
  • Conduct research, modeling, and prototyping to meet customer and product requirements
  • Execute prototype testing and data analysis, applying statistical methods to generate insights and recommendations
  • Define test parameters, specifications, and performance criteria to ensure product reliability and feasibility
  • Perform failure analysis and root cause investigations to improve product performance
  • Manage new product and technology development (NPD/NTD) projects, including: defining goals and success criteria, assessing risks, driving execution to meet timeline
  • Lead test equipment selection and qualification, including MSA and engineering validation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally while maintaining ownership of technical deliverables
