About The Position

Consensus Cloud Solutions is seeking a pragmatic developer to join their team. This role focuses on balancing the use of AI for rapid development ('Vibe Coding') with the technical discipline of 'Spec-Driven Development' to build superior products. The ideal candidate will understand how to leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) for creative exploration while ensuring maintainability through strict technical specifications. The company is a leading digital cloud fax and interoperability solutions organization in the healthcare industry, focused on connecting various healthcare systems and transforming data using advanced standards, NLP, and AI.

Requirements

7+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
Experience with Java, Python, Node.JS, and JavaScript.
Experience building and shipping products using AI-assisted engineering disciplines or "vibe-to-spec" workflows.
Pragmatic Engineering: The ability to prioritize stability and performance over speed, while still utilizing AI to accelerate the development lifecycle.
AI-Native Tooling Mastery: Advanced proficiency with Amazon Kiro, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot, coupled with an understanding of the broader AI-agent ecosystem.
Full-Stack Architecture: Strong grasp of CS fundamentals, including system design, API architecture, and database management (SQL/NoSQL).
Analytical Thinking: A deep-seated need to understand the "why" behind generated code; ability to debug and optimize complex logic manually.
Testing & Documentation: Mastery of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and the ability to write precise technical documentation that guides AI tools.
AWS Proficiency: General comfort navigating AWS services and managing cloud deployment pipelines.

Nice To Haves

Experience with various AI-native agents and emerging IDEs.
Active involvement in the AI-engineering community or a portfolio showcasing AI-augmented projects.

Responsibilities

Transition effectively between rapid AI-assisted iteration and disciplined, manual engineering throughout the feature lifecycle.
Utilize Amazon Kiro as a primary driver within the AWS environment while remaining proficient in the broader ecosystem, including Cursor and GitHub Copilot.
Design and maintain modular, readable structures that AI agents work within to ensure clarity for human colleagues.
Author high-quality technical prompts and formal specifications to minimize hallucination and maximize logic accuracy.
Act as the final auditor for all AI-assisted contributions to ensure they meet internal standards and security protocols.
Employ Test-Driven Development (TDD) and write clear technical documentation to serve as the source of truth for AI tools.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
