About The Position

Analog Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADI) is a global semiconductor leader that bridges the physical and digital worlds to enable breakthroughs at the Intelligent Edge. ADI combines analog, digital, and software technologies into solutions that help drive advancements in digitized factories, mobility, and digital healthcare, combat climate change, and reliably connect humans and the world. With revenue of more than $9 billion in FY24 and approximately 24,000 people globally, ADI ensures today's innovators stay Ahead of What's Possible™. This role involves participating in product development activities related to the design and development of state-of-the-art integrated semiconductor products in areas including precision analog circuit design, mixed-signal design and verification, integrated power analog design, or digital circuit design. The engineer will design analog or digital circuits and chip-level integrations, considering design yield and testability. They will apply knowledge of system-level and block-level circuitry simulation and modeling to design new circuits or techniques. Analysis of data from silicon design evaluation and verification of circuits and ICs using advanced mixed-signal techniques will be performed to ensure functionality, accuracy, and reliability against specifications. The engineer will determine technical feasibility of design approaches and block specifications for new product development at the block level. Documentation of design specifications, preparation of technical reports and test plans, and presentation of design review documentation at peer review meetings are key responsibilities. Evaluating and troubleshooting complex integrated circuit problems for designs in the lab, and performing functional and performance testing are also required. The role includes evaluating silicon on the bench, identifying deviations, performing troubleshooting of design bugs, providing recommended solutions, and implementing corrective actions. Collaboration with layout engineers to review physical design layouts and make recommendations for characterizing new and existing designs is expected. The engineer will also lead and coordinate project activities across cross-functional teams, including test, product, and applications engineering, to successfully bring new products from initial concept through production release.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics or closely related technical discipline (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 24 months of experience as an Analog Design Engineer or related occupation performing analog or mixed signal integrated circuit design.
  • Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing analog design, simulation, layout, and verification for analog, mixed-signal, or power designs using transistor level software design tools such as Cadence tools or equivalent.
  • DE evaluating silicon design implementations on one or more CMOS or BCD processes.
  • DE participating in all phases of new product development and release activities with the product development team (debug, evaluation, characterization, qualification, and final test).
  • DE leveraging device physics fundamentals and knowledge of semiconductor processing in CMOS or BCD technology to design and verify analog or mixed-signal IC design blocks, including amplifiers, comparators, bandgap and oscillators.
  • DE performing circuit evaluation, characterization, and failure analysis using lab or bench test equipment including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators.
  • Experience and skills may be gained during a PhD program.
