Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware, hardware design, or embedded systems development.
  • Strong programming skills in C and C++ for embedded applications.
  • Solid understanding of embedded hardware, firmware, and software design principles.
  • Proven ability to debug hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other electronic lab tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Collaborative team player able to work effectively across global engineering, applications, and customer-facing teams.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine-learning technologies and their application to technical support or engineering workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with Microchip products, development tools, or networking protocols.
  • Experience with Ethernet, networking technologies, or connected embedded systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to mass-market customers via case tickets, phone, and live chat.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve client issues related to microcontrollers/microprocessors, embedded firmware, and software ecosystem.
  • Work individually and collaboratively with peers to address client’s hardware and firmware/software challenges.
  • Contribute to team infrastructure and AI initiatives.
  • Deliver training and provide direct support to the global community.
  • Analyze electrical schematics.
  • Collaborate with product engineers, applications engineers, field support, peers, and sales teams to address case trends and improve customer outcomes.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training for customers and internal teams.
  • Stay current on industry standards, product roadmaps, and emerging technologies.
