About The Position

This role focuses on maintaining the stability, security, and efficiency of CNB’s identity infrastructure, including Active Directory (AD) and related systems. The primary responsibility is platform operations, ensuring systems run smoothly and adhere to regulatory and security requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in Active Directory operations (replication, domain controller management, Group Policy infrastructure).
  • Hands-on experience with AD troubleshooting and monitoring tools.
  • Scripting proficiency (PowerShell preferred) for automation.
  • Familiarity with PAM, Zero Trust principles, and CIS benchmarks.
  • Adaptability to shift priorities smoothly in a dynamic setting.
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in system configurations, compliance checks, and following processes and procedures.
  • Collaborative skills to build relationships across teams and communicate clearly.
  • Proactive mindset to identify risks, propose solutions, and meet deadlines under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce AD security best practices, such as securing LDAP channels, disabling legacy protocols like NTLM, and managing privileged accounts.
  • Perform AD migrations (e.g., functional level upgrades, domain consolidations) or Windows Server upgrades.
  • Monitor domain controllers, replication, and DNS integration to prevent outages.
  • Execute production changes, including applying patches, promoting domain controllers, and adjusting configurations, following strict change control processes, primarily scheduled during nights and weekends.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues such as replication delays, authentication failures, or Group Policy conflicts using tools like Repadmin or DCdiag.
  • Provide runbooks, guidance, and hands-on support to IAM and other support teams for AD-related issues.
  • Ensure AD operations align with regulatory standards (e.g., CNB policies) and audit requirements.
  • Use PowerShell or scripting to automate tasks like log analysis or system checks.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, networking, and RBC teams to support business needs.
  • Maintain technical guides and share knowledge with the IPEM team.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, including nights/weekends, for urgent incidents.
