About The Position
RingCentral is seeking a Senior Employment Counsel to join their Legal team. This role will provide practical, business-focused legal advice on a wide range of employment matters within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with HR, leadership, and cross-functional teams to manage risk, ensure compliance, and support business scaling.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and an active Colorado bar license required
- 4+ years of experience practicing U.S. employment law at a nationally recognized law firm and/or in-house
- In-house experience strongly preferred
- Broad-based employment law expertise across key areas such as employee relations, compliance, and investigations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical guidance for business stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Responsibilities
- Advise on a broad range of domestic and international employment and labor law matters, including recruiting, employee relations, performance management, accommodations, wage and hour, investigations, and terminations
- Draft, review, and update employment-related agreements, policies, and templates to ensure compliance and consistency
- Manage and advise on internal investigations, employment-related claims, demand letters, audits, and administrative complaints
- Partner with HR and business leaders to evaluate and implement employment practices, policies, and processes
- Manage employment litigation matters in collaboration with internal and external counsel and support global employment and immigration initiatives
