About The Position

The Senior Employee Relations Advisor role supports the day-to-day HR needs of their offices, providing guidance and consultation on policies and programs to meet business needs and build the necessary people and culture. This mid-level role, with advancement opportunities, operates under the mentorship of the Regional Director of Field People Solutions and supports the Minneapolis location. The role involves supporting Managing Principals, embodying the CLA Promise, developing knowledge of the CLA business, and guiding local office efforts in employee development through coaching, learning, and experiences. It also involves proactive engagement on employee relations issues, facilitating coaching roundtables, and collaborating with office leadership on advancement and compensation decisions.

Requirements

  • 3 years of relevant experience in a generalist role required.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Candidates will need to provide or have access to their own transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Managing Principals to deliver service excellence on all firm-wide and People Solutions related strategies, initiatives, and processes in partnership with the People Solutions Regional Director or Director.
  • Supports and guides local office efforts to build and develop employees through coaching, learning, and experiences by connecting regularly with office leaders and Career Coach Champions.
  • Proactively engages on employee relations issues.
  • Facilitates and encourages local participation in coaching roundtables.
  • In partnership with the People Solutions Regional Director or Director, collaborates with office leadership on annual process decisions including advancement and compensation decisions.
  • Responsible for focusing on their own professional development.
