Reporting to the Manager, Labour Relations, the Senior Employee Labour Relations (ELR) Consultant is responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of broad employee and labour relations programs and strategies to ensure institutional compliance with labour and employment legislation. The Senior Consultant is also responsible for investigating complex workplace complaints received under the Hospital’s violence and harassment policies, codes of conduct, and privacy procedures, amongst others. The Senior ELR Consultant provides strategic, expert evidence-based advice to HR leaders and staff across the Hospital’s human resources teams, including leadership of key ELR initiatives including: collective bargaining, mediation/arbitration and other litigation, immigration, workplace investigations, and other alternative dispute resolution processes. The role requires a senior level professional that has demonstrated the ability to balance their Labour Relations technical knowledge with the strong ability to build partnerships with stakeholders in support of achieving the strategic goals of the organization.
