About The Position

The Environmental Effects Engineering (EEE) organization at Collins Aerospace is seeking an EMI Test Engineer to support day‑to‑day pre‑qualification and qualification testing of products and subsystems of moderate to high complexity. The engineer will work hands‑on in a world‑class EMI/EMC test facility, supporting compliance testing to industry standards including MIL‑STD‑461 and DO‑160. This role includes test execution, test equipment stewardship, documentation and software support, and providing technical guidance to test technicians and engineering partners. The ideal candidate brings prior EMI test lab experience and will contribute immediately by maintaining daily lab readiness, serving as a subject-matter expert for EMI test equipment and troubleshooting, managing test equipment and configuration documentation, updating EMI procedures and methods, training technicians, and supporting advanced capabilities such as reverberation chambers, lightning generator care, aircraft system level certification, method development, and specialized, tailored test setups. EMI engineers thrive here because they have the support of deep subject‑matter expertise, the autonomy to innovate, and the opportunity to directly influence product readiness for both commercial and military platforms. If you’re passionate about solving complex EMI challenges, leading in a collaborative engineering environment, and driving the evolution of a top‑tier test lab, this role will give you the tools, resources, and opportunity for impact you’re looking for.
