This role is crucial for elevating the company's email marketing efforts to a standard that customers and the wider email marketing community admire. The ideal candidate is passionate about email marketing, enjoys experimenting with engagement and list growth strategies, stays updated on industry trends, and brings innovative ideas to the table. This position offers ownership of the email marketing craft, opportunities for original content creation, collaboration with experts, continuous learning and development, and the autonomy to manage tasks effectively in a remote-first environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience growing an email list organically, building segmentation, and creating lead magnets
  • A sharp editorial eye for reviewing and improving content
  • Genuine, ongoing curiosity about email marketing, including following the space, testing new approaches, and having a point of view
  • Comfortable with both hands-on writing and briefing others
  • Experience with MailerLite or other ESPs
  • 4 hours of overlap with the CET time zone

Responsibilities

  • Manage all email campaigns from creation and writing to launch, measurement and optimization
  • Build and nurture automations to turn prospects into customers and ensure existing automations are up to date
  • Own lead magnets end to end: come up with new ones, write the copy or brief writers, and keep existing ones accurate and up to date
  • Identify opportunities to grow the email list by building forms, pop-ups, and landing pages
  • Keep MailerLite accounts organized and up-to-date, building out segmentation and interest groups, and tailoring messaging to different audience segments and industries
  • Partner with writers to brief and produce blog content, and review/improve existing email-marketing content
  • Explore original, underexplored angles on email marketing to create novel content that earns citations and attention
  • Measure email marketing performance, define KPIs, analyze campaign performance, and suggest/implement improvements
  • Ensure sending practices align with deliverability standards and industry best practices
  • Stay immersed in the email marketing world, turning learnings into content and strategy
  • Coordinate with the Email Lifecycle Manager to ensure consistency and avoid overlap between marketing and product/lifecycle emails
