This position operates within technical operations and engineering support. May require occasional travel (up to 10–20%) for testing, validation, or product support activities. Focus is on innovation, prototype development, and continuous improvement of new electronic products.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of hands-on experience in electronics assembly, testing, or repair; experience with prototypes or new product development preferred.
  • Experience with PCB assembly, soldering (SMT and through-hole), and use of electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies).
  • Strong understanding of electronic components, circuits, and systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Proficient in soldering, rework, and assembly of electronic circuits and components.
  • Experience troubleshooting at the component and system level.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment and diagnostic tools used in electronics testing.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced development environments and shifting priorities.
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for working with small electronic assemblies.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or sit for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Technical certification in electronics (IPC, soldering, or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic circuits, assemblies, and systems used in products to meet schedule.
  • Support prototype builds and engineering development activities for new electronic products and platforms.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, PCB layouts, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation to build and debug electronic assemblies.
  • Modify and rework prototype circuit boards, wiring harnesses, and electronic assemblies to correct functional deficiencies or implement engineering changes.
  • Assist engineers in design validation, testing, and data collection for new product development.
  • Document test procedures, build processes, and results using approved systems and tools to ensure all electronic assemblies meet quality standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Provide feedback to engineering on design improvements, manufacturability, and reliability.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities including pilot builds and transition to production.
  • Maintain and organize electronic components, test equipment, and lab inventory.
  • Ensure all electronic assemblies meet quality standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality to resolve design and test issues.
  • Follow all company policies, quality standards (ISO 9001:2015), and safety procedures.
  • Perform additional technical or business-related tasks as directed by leadership.
