About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Technician to support advanced electronic development, prototyping, testing, and production efforts within our manufacturing facility in Johnstown, PA. This role will serve as a key technical resource supporting the transition of innovative electronic designs from prototype and development phases into reliable, repeatable production processes. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with electronic systems, troubleshooting, prototype builds, testing, and manufacturing support. This position will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve product performance, manufacturability, and production efficiency.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience considered.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting electronics development, manufacturing, or production environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with prototype development, product testing, and production transition activities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic assemblies and proficiency using electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hardware assemblies and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support advanced electronics prototyping, development builds, and product validation activities.
  • Assemble, modify, test, and troubleshoot complex electronic assemblies and systems.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Perform troubleshooting using test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Identify root causes of electronic failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support manufacturing operations by resolving technical issues impacting production.
  • Develop and refine test methods, procedures, and work instructions to improve production readiness.
  • Assist with design improvements focused on reliability, manufacturability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with engineers on prototype builds, design verification testing, and process improvements.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of technical and production documentation and test records.
  • Train and mentor technicians on electronic processes and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
