About The Position

Take the lead in maintaining and advancing critical electronic systems while providing expert guidance in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Technician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic systems and equipment across our facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and code-compliant operation of a wide range of electronic infrastructure while providing technical leadership and guidance to team members.

Requirements

  • Two-year Associate degree program in Electronics or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
  • Three years of related experience as an electronics technician
  • Four (4) years of related experience in lieu of an associate degree in Electronics
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
  • Proficiency with testing equipment and hand/power tools
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and safety standards

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced technical training, certification, or licensure in electronics or electrical work
  • Experience working in a facilities, healthcare, or institutional environment
  • Prior experience leading or training others

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, test, and maintain electronic systems, equipment, and wiring using hand and power tools
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems, components, and equipment using specialized testing devices (e.g., voltmeters, oscilloscopes)
  • Inspect systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and compliance issues with applicable codes and standards
  • Plan and execute the layout and installation of wiring, fixtures, and electronic equipment based on specifications and safety requirements
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine system configurations
  • Connect wiring to control boards, relays, and other electronic components
  • Perform repairs and replacements of wiring, equipment, and fixtures as needed
  • Provide input to management regarding equipment condition and potential safety risks
  • Use a wide range of testing and diagnostic tools to ensure system functionality and safety
  • Maintain accurate records, complete reports, and manage work orders within the CMMS system
  • Assist with estimating materials, labor, and project requirements
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff or team members
  • Respond to facility needs and assist during emergencies, including supporting critical equipment and systems
