About The Position

Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Electronic Repair Technician III position. This position is a contract opportunity which is expected to be on-site in Orlando, FL for a duration of 3 month + contract with a strong potential for extension. This is a 3rd shift role with the hours of 11:00PM - 7:30AM with mandatory 1-2 month of training on 1st Shift which has a schedule of 6:00AM - 3:30PM. Must be flexible for overtime. As an Electronic Repair Technician III, your role involves utilizing your extensive technical expertise to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment to high-quality standards. You lead by example, overseeing shop activities, optimizing processes, and managing consumables. You also mentor and provide expert guidance to Tech I and Tech II technicians, ensuring their skill development. Your leadership and problem-solving abilities play a pivotal role in achieving production goals and maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of six (6) years of work experience in electronics repair
  • Must speak, read and write English fluently
  • 4 years of working in a 145 FAA regulated environment
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are required
  • Electronics level 3 component repair experience
  • Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of complex electronic and mechanical systems to ensure optimal functionality
  • Exceptional attention to detail, safety, 5s understanding and implementation, and effective communication skills
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians, facilitating skill development and knowledge transfer.
  • Document detailed service reports, system diagnostics, and maintenance records for accurate tracking and analysis
  • Prepares detailed technical reports, recommends improvements, and may contribute to technical documentation updates
  • Must be well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and other governing regulatory requirements
  • Lead experience or Inspection experience in a FAA 145 environment
  • Strong knowledge of FAA 145 regulations, troubleshooting, and ability to interpret maintenance manuals and schematics

Responsibilities

  • Utilize extensive technical expertise to independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment, adhering to high-quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Act as a mentor and provide expert guidance to Tech I and Tech II technicians.
  • Lead Chronic investigations and return reviews.
  • Actively oversee daily shop performance, identifying and addressing root causes of issues.
  • Assign and coordinate work plans to meet production, training, and operational goals.
  • Maintain and update equipment status records for efficient tracking.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to drive process improvements and lean concepts.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance repair procedures and documentation.
  • Lead material shortage assessments and propose solutions.
  • Manage consumable inventory, including ordering, disposal, and compliance.
  • Ensure the Chemical Cabinet is maintained properly and safely.
  • Monitor and manage shop supplies to prevent shortages.
  • Assume supervisory responsibilities when lead is absent, coordinating tasks and protocols effectively.
  • Lead meetings with Team Lead, providing updates and strategic input.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review KPI performance, objectives, and address escalation needs, fostering a cohesive work environment.
