About The Position

Complete Building Services (CBS) is seeking a Senior Electrician with a journeyman license to join their team at an educational facility in Woodbridge, VA. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience as a journeyman electrician within a similar-sized facility and comprehensive knowledge, obtained within the past seven years, in the inspection and repair of equipment for the distribution and utilization of electric energy. The work shift is Monday-Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Responsibilities include installing or repairing various electrical equipment such as transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, and conduit systems. The role also involves working from blueprints, diagnosing electrical system or equipment troubles, performing standard computations for load requirements, and utilizing a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring/testing instruments. The position generally requires rounded training and experience acquired through a formal apprenticeship program.

Requirements

• Journeyman License
• Five (5) to seven (7) years experience as a journeyman electrician in a similar size facility
• Comprehensive knowledge within the past seven (7) years in the areas of inspection and repair of equipment for the distribution, and utilization of electric energy
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair transformers, switchboards, controllers, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings/layouts
• Ability to provide great customer service
• Driver's license
• Rounded training and experience acquired through a formal apprenticeship program

Responsibilities

• Locate and diagnose trouble in electrical systems or equipment

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair transformers, switchboards, controllers, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment
• Read blueprints and drawings/layouts
