About The Position

The Sr. Electrician is responsible for overseeing and executing complex electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks. This role requires a high level of expertise in electrical systems, a commitment to safety, and the ability to lead and mentor junior electricians. The Sr. Electrician ensures that all electrical work complies with relevant codes and standards and contributes to the overall efficiency and reliability of Scoular’s electrical infrastructure.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of industrial machinery, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in industrial or commercial electrical work, focusing on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Familiarity with industrial electrical systems (e.g., motor controls, switchgear, transformers).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Scoular asset teams to plan and execute in-house projects and repairs, and coordinate crew member support and scheduling with facility management for project completion and inventory assistance.
  • Understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams while providing leadership and direction to Construction and Laborer crews regarding non-routine task completion.
  • Inspect and monitor grain asset equipment such as legs, drag, conveyor belts, skid steers, and wheel loaders.
  • Use testing devices to identify and report electrical problems.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inspections.
  • Assist with facility operations as needed.
  • Drive Employee Safety agenda and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all electrical work performed while adhering to state and local building regulations.
  • Coach and train facility team members on preventative maintenance best practices.
  • Work closely with Facility Engineering Team to support facilities and address maintenance needs proactively to minimize breakdowns.
  • Complete work orders on time and create records of materials used.
  • Supervise and assist electrical staff in daily activity. Responsible for scheduling to meet work demands.
  • Provide assistance with recruitment, training and direction of assigned facility personnel.
  • Engage and inspire teams through inclusive leadership, making Scoular a great place to work.
  • Identify and participate in collaboration opportunities between businesses within the Division and across Divisions.
