About The Position

Boeing Aerospace Operations, BDS is looking for a Senior Electrical Workplace Coach to join their Executive Fleet team in San Antonio, TX. This role is critical in reducing rework, improving first-time quality, promoting safety, and initiating process improvements across all Aircraft Programs at the San Antonio site. The position requires aircraft and electrical expertise to build a strong, versatile workforce to bolster production.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with modifications at an airline or an MRO.
  • 10+ years of experience with electrical, cable assembly, electronic troubleshooting, terminations, routing, splicing, connectors, bundle dressing, etc.
  • 10+ years of experience using strong verbal and written communications skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an operations environment.
  • 10+ years of experience leading teams.
  • 10+ years of experience reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints.
  • 5+ years of experience with Avionics equipment and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of aircraft Avionics experience on a minimum of 2 aircraft platforms.
  • Ability to deliver information verbally in one on one or group settings.
  • Ability to learn and teach multiple platforms.
  • Knowledge of QMS to assist in root cause corrective actions for any quality defects.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and develop employees in all electrical and avionics-based aircraft skills.
  • Experience with major electrical aircraft modifications and be able to articulate, teach, and coach detailed operations therein to include but not limited to the following: sealing, wrapping, bonding, soldering, tying, crimping, terminations, and the closure of wire harnesses, shielded wires, coaxial cables, cable routing/assembly, and fiber optic wiring.
  • Lead and coach employees on detailed electrical operations, testing, referencing, and all the associated process specifications.
  • Ability to operate and coach the proper usage of electrical test equipment to include but not limited to the following: TDRs, light loss testers, Milli-Ohm Meters, DMMs, and Oscilloscopes.
  • Demonstrate/coach how to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modification/repair.
  • Report out to Site and Senior Leadership.
  • Able to work with minimal oversight and deliver positive results, while adhering to all Safety and FOD Pro’s and Processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in a teaching/coaching environment.
