About The Position

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager - Data Center for their Pecos, Texas location. This role is responsible for the overall management of construction phases for Data Center electrical projects and for developing new business opportunities within specific client groups or geographical areas. The position requires managing projects to exceed customer expectations while ensuring adherence to NEC, company safety policies, and OSHA requirements. Key responsibilities include establishing project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards; representing the company in project meetings and labor negotiations; managing financial aspects of contracts to protect the company's interests and maintain client relationships; leading the project team to meet client and IES expectations; performing takeoffs and pricing change orders and project quotes; and working closely with the Project Executive for accurate tracking and financial reporting. The work is to be performed at the Project Site.

Requirements

8 or more years’ electrical construction project management experience in all phases of electrical projects $20-$100M including mission critical, ground-up construction, and remodeling.
Data Center experience is required.
Proficient computer, communications (oral and written), and interpersonal skills.
Detailed understanding of electrical estimating, budgeting, scheduling and project tracking.
Detailed understanding of billing and financial reporting.
Business knowledge of vendors in respective electrical construction industry.
Proficient in Accubid, Blue Beam, Procore, CX Alloy, BIM360, MS Project, P6 and other industry standard software.
Ability to travel as required.
Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and MVR check.
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree engineering or construction management preferred
Hyperscale Data Center experience preferred.
Valid Electrical License on the Journeyman or Master level strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides overall management in all phases of construction for one or more Data Center electrical projects.
Develops new business opportunities relative to a particular Client, group of Clients or geographical area.
Manages projects in a manner that exceeds our customers' expectations and ensures that our work adheres to NEC, company safety policies and OSHA mandated requirements.
Establishes project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
Represents company in project meetings and assists in labor negotiations, strategy meetings.
Manages financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintains good relationship with clients.
Manages the project team to ensure that project delivery meets the expectations of the client as well as IES.
Performs takeoffs and price change orders and project related quotes.
Works closely with the Project Executive to ensure accurate tracking and financial reporting.
