About The Position

The Boeing Company's Defense, Space & Security (BDS) GFE Production Engineering team is seeking a Senior Electrical Manufacturing Planner to support the technical statement of work in San Antonio, TX. This role involves planning and leading processes for developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configurations. The planner will also develop manufacturing concepts and strategies, prepare build analyses and cost estimates, and lead the integration of complex suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements. Responsibilities include participating in source selection, developing complex tooling requirements, managing tooling from design to disposition, leading investigations and resolutions of manufacturing issues, leading producibility assessments, and developing complex work statements and sequencing of events. The role also involves drafting, updating, and reviewing processes and procedures, and implementing non-conformance requirements into shop floor work orders and supplier specifications. A key task is translating design requirements from Electronic Bill of Materials (EBOM) into Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) to manage part demand within the program production system.

Requirements

  • Associate degree
  • 6 years of related work experience
  • Medium to Advanced knowledge of REDARS, GOLDesp, WIRS, Microsoft Excel (medium to advanced skills), IVT, MESci.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and leads department/organization processes for developing, implementing and maintaining various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
  • Develops and plans manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.
  • Prepares build analyses and cost estimate reports.
  • Leads integration of complex suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
  • Participates in source selection to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.
  • Develops complex tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.
  • Manages tooling from initial design to end of use disposition.
  • Leads investigation and resolution of complex or systemic manufacturing related issues.
  • Leads teams performing producibility assessments of design concepts.
  • Leads development of complex work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
  • Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Reviews and implements non-conformance requirements into shop floor work orders and supplier specifications.
