This is a highly hands-on role requiring experience with electro-mechanical systems, industrial controls, automation, and PCB/PCBA assemblies. In this role, you will work with minimal supervision, partnering closely with engineers across multiple disciplines to troubleshoot complex electrical and electromechanical systems, execute and improve test strategies, and support prototype and pre‑production builds. You will be relied upon as a technical expert, mentor to junior-level technicians, and a key contributor to product quality, reliability, and safety.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (2-year technical degree) in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent technical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in electrical, electromechanical, and/or industrial engineering environments
  • Established ability to read, interpret, validate, and redline electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Industrial electrical systems (AC/DC)
  • PLCs, CNC systems, servo drives, and VFDs
  • Industrial machinery, robotics, or automated systems (electro-mechanical)
  • Data acquisition equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DVOMs)
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot system-level electrical and control issues independently and as a member of an investigation team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including documentation of test results and technical findings
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Responsibilities

  • Plan, configure, and execute advanced electrical and electromechanical test setups, including instrumentation selection, automation, data capture, and formal reporting.
  • Diagnose and correct issues across industrial control environments, spanning PLCs, motion systems, drives, sensors, PCs, and industrial networks.
  • Build, wire, and commission control panels, fixtures, and development systems from schematics, BOMs, and evolving technical documentation.
  • Perform component‑level PCB/PCBA build, rework, debug, and failure analysis, translating results into actionable engineering feedback.
  • Champion lab excellence through safe work practices, audit participation, continuous improvement efforts, and escalation support for manufacturing, service, or customer investigations.

Benefits

  • Collaborative, 100% employee-owned culture
  • Profit-Sharing and Employee Stock Ownership (ESOP)
  • Five days/year paid Community Service Time
  • Strong commitment to Environmental Stewardship
  • Stable, growing organization with a no-layoff philosophy
