About The Position

At Honeywell Aerospace Engineering Test Services (ETS), we develop test equipment that exercises our products across a variety of product lines. As a Sr. Electrical Engineering Technician, you will support engineering by assembling custom or commercial off‑the‑shelf (COTS) electronic equipment into standardized rack configurations, fabricating and routing cable harnesses, and performing electrical cabinet wiring, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role is hands‑on and ideal for someone with strong technical abilities, attention to detail, and experience working with electronic assemblies. You will report to the Test Engineering Manager, and work out of our Tempe, AZ on an in-person work schedule.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical technical support or related roles.
Experience interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials.
Skilled with crimping, soldering, cable routing, wire labeling, and use of standard electrical tools/meters.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and use hands for electronic assembly, testing, and troubleshooting tasks.
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to work with small components, tools, and wiring.
Ability to lift and move materials and equipment up to 25 pounds, with heavier items moved using assistance or appropriate equipment.
Ability to use test equipment, computers, and read detailed technical documentation.
Ability to wear required PPE and perform duties safely in a laboratory or production environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

Nice To Haves

Technical degree, military training, or equivalent hands‑on experience in electrical/electronic systems.
Familiarity with IPC 620 preferred.
Experience assembling electronic racks, wiring cabinets, or building cable harnesses.
Ability to work independently, follow build instructions, and manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

Assemble COTS electronic equipment and instrumentation into equipment racks according to engineering drawings and standards.
Perform point‑to‑point wiring inside electrical cabinets and enclosures following established wiring diagrams.
Ensure proper electrical connections, continuity, grounding, and labeling according to standards.
Build, route, and terminate cable harnesses.
Maintain an organized, clean workspace and comply with all site safety, ESD, and tool‑control rules.
