About The Position

Lead planning and execution of factory electrical infrastructure and workcenter buildouts, translating production requirements into operational manufacturing space. The role owns electrical infrastructure planning, coordinates utility service and distribution upgrades, and leads technical execution of projects supporting factory development and manufacturing equipment deployment. It requires strong electrical engineering expertise, cross-functional problem-solving, and day-to-day technical decision-making to keep projects aligned with production goals, schedules, and budgets. The position covers electrical supply and capacity planning; factory medium- and low-voltage distribution; owner-side electrical engineering and equipment integration; factory data and IT infrastructure; facility controls and automation; electrical construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and energization; factory and workcenter buildout planning; and capital project schedule and technical coordination. The engineer works with internal engineering, operations, facilities, procurement, supply chain, IT, and controls teams, as well as utilities, A&E firms, contractors, and equipment vendors. The work is performed across office, manufacturing, and active construction settings, with frequent factory-floor coordination and occasional support outside regular hours at critical milestones.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of factory electrical supply strategies, evaluating current and future power demand, utility capacity, and infrastructure needs.
  • Serve as the owner-side engineering interface with utility providers for service upgrades, line extensions, infrastructure requirements, and energization schedules.
  • Partner with A&E firms to assess phased power delivery strategies and alternative supply solutions based on cost, schedule, reliability, technical risk, and scalability.
  • Lead planning and technical execution of factory electrical distribution systems, including medium- and low-voltage equipment, feeders, and equipment power connections.
  • Define electrical infrastructure requirements, evaluate distribution capacity, and review external designs for factory needs, code compliance, constructability, reliability, and scalability.
  • Coordinate with A&E partners, electrical contractors, and equipment vendors to ensure distribution supports equipment deployment and future expansion.
  • Lead owner-side electrical engineering coordination from concept development through construction and equipment commissioning.
  • Establish electrical infrastructure requirements and review external engineering deliverables, including load calculations, single-line diagrams, power distribution plans, grounding requirements, equipment specifications, and system studies.
  • Evaluate equipment interfaces, facility hookup requirements, and infrastructure constraints to support manufacturing readiness.
  • Plan and coordinate factory data and IT infrastructure with IT stakeholders, engineering teams, and equipment vendors.
  • Plan and coordinate facility controls and automation infrastructure with controls engineering, IT, facilities, and equipment vendors.
  • Lead technical coordination for electrical infrastructure construction and equipment installation; serve as the primary engineering contact for electrical scope and equipment integration.
