About The Position

EVS is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for its Power Studies team. The role leads complex power system studies and projects supporting renewable energy integration and grid modernization. The engineer will provide technical expertise, ensure the accuracy and quality of deliverables, collaborate with internal teams and clients, mentor other engineers, and contribute to process improvements and strategic initiatives. The position is listed as full-time and may be based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, or performed in a hybrid or remote work environment. Salary is $125,000–$165,000, based on experience.

Requirements

Technical expertise in power system modeling.
Strong understanding of IEEE, ICEA, NFPA, NEC, and ANSI standards and their practical application.
A proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
A PE license is strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

Experience with ETAP, CYMCAP, WinIGS, CDEGS, EMTP, or PSCAD.
Analytical and programming experience using Excel, MathCAD, and Python.
PE license.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute advanced power system studies, including ampacity, short circuit, grounding, harmonics, and transient studies.
Serve as a technical expert and project leader, ensuring accuracy, quality, and innovation in deliverables.
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to turn analysis into solutions for grid modernization and renewable integration.
Mentor and train engineers, sharing best practices and technical insights.
Drive process improvements and contribute to strategic initiatives for EVS power studies.
