The Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program will completely replace the aging Minuteman III (MMIII) ICBM, an undertaking not performed in over 50 years. This program is considered a “mega-project” and one of the most complex in the history of the Department of Defense. The new ICBM weapon system acquisition effort brings with it the newest digital engineering tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to meet existing warfighter requirements, while having the adaptability and flexibility to affordably address changing technology and threat environments through 2075. As part of the U.S. Air Force's Integration Support Contract (ISC), BAE Systems provides advisory and assistance services in the areas of engineering, logistics, management, scientific analysis, and other subject matter expertise to augment and optimize management of the Sentinel ICBM Prime Contractor. BAE is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support Sentinel’s Guidance Branch within the Flight Systems IPT in developing the Sentinel guidance computer systems. This engineer will assist in acquiring, testing, and integrating guidance equipment for the Sentinel weapon system, collaborating with the government customer and Sentinel prime contractor to review and assess design, documentation, and architecture. You'll provide advice to Sentinel leaders throughout the acquisition cycle, utilizing MBSE best practices.

Requirements

An accredited Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Aerospace, Mechanical, or Computer Science/Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field.
7 years (with BS) or 5 years (with MS) of directly related experience.
Between 3 and 5 years of demonstrated experience in engineering or management support of defense systems, technology, or research and development activities (2+ years with master’s degree or higher).
Ability to provide independent critical evaluation of design development and integration.
Excellent cognitive, communication (both written and spoken), and interpersonal skills.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance and all necessary special program accesses (the criteria for obtaining and maintaining a security clearance is set by the US Government and you must be a US Citizen).
