About The Position
KBR's National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. This position focuses on delivering robust, scalable, and cost-effective electrical solutions for product development, manufacturing, and operational environments. The role includes responsibility for cable and wiring harness design, development, and integration. Your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security.
Requirements
- Active/Current DoD Secret clearance required
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- A minimum of 8 years of experience performing electrical design on complex systems.
- Proficiency with electrical design tools. (OrCAD)
- Experience with test equipment and troubleshooting
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Space Flight hardware.
- Strong understanding of the full engineering lifecycle from concept to production.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience with Solidworks 3D CAD and CAM tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design efforts from concept through final production.
- Proficiency with electrical design tools. (KiCAD, OrCAD)
- Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and architecture documentation
- Research, design, and evaluate electrical systems to meet operational and performance requirements.
- Develop and execute test plans and procedures
- Design and develop cable assemblies and wiring harnesses, including routing, shielding, and connector selection
- Define harness requirements including signal integrity, EMI/EMC considerations, and environmental constraints
- Support program schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation
- Participate in design reviews and support production and integration activities.
- Work closely with a small team to execute fast paced, short timeline projects, both individually and as a team.
