This role is for a highly skilled and autonomous Senior Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for the design and delivery of small to mid-scale power infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will serve as the technical authority for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) generator rollouts. This position extends beyond basic drafting to encompass end-to-end project lifecycle management, technical leadership, and upholding the high engineering standards necessary for the safety and efficiency of our medium-voltage sites.

Requirements

• 5 to 7+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer within the power generation, renewables or utilities industry.
• Deep, practical knowledge of BESS integrations, medium-voltage installations, and earthing.
• Highly capable of reading, understanding, and producing complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD.
• An exceptional, assertive communicator who can translate complex technical plans into clear field instructions for diverse teams.
• A self-starter capable of managing projects independently across diverse locations in Ireland and the UK.
• A valid full driving license is required.
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering.
• Full and valid driving licence.
• Proficient user of MS office.
• Proficient user of AutoCad.
• Proficient user of power simulation software (PSCAD etc.)

Nice To Haves

• An Electrical Craft Certificate is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive BESS and transformer upgrades from initial site feasibility and supplier assessment through to grid connection, commissioning, and final handover in partnership with the Project Manager.
• Produce robust AC/DC designs, cable schedules, and tender documents.
• Leverage, manage, and continuously improve our established suite of foundational CAD templates, setting the baseline for the wider deployment team.
• Act as the definitive technical voice from the feasibility stage with the customer to on-site during commissioning.
• Provide clear, unambiguous technical support to the sales teams and to contractors in high-risk environments, ensuring zero confusion and strict adherence to electrical standards.
• Develop complete project tender packages, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), while actively managing project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
