Requirements

  • Electrical engineering background
  • Experience with design of packages and stations
  • Knowledge of compression unit and station performance metrics
  • Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve inefficiencies or malfunctions
  • Experience reviewing and approving drawings
  • Technical guidance and oversight skills
  • Collaboration skills with Sales, Operations, and Construction teams
  • Experience with scope development, timelines, and design reviews
  • Root cause analysis and corrective action implementation skills
  • Continuous improvement initiative experience
  • Knowledge of regulatory, safety, and engineering standards (e.g., ASME, NEC, B31.3, B31.8)

Responsibilities

  • Leading the design of packages and stations to ensure specifications and performance metrics are met as outlined by the Director of Fleet & Capital Purchasing, Stations Construction Group, customers, and industry standards
  • Reviewing and approving field evaluations to measure and record compression unit and station performance, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data
  • Identifying, diagnosing, and leading resolution efforts for inefficiencies or malfunctions in compression units and station systems
  • Reviewing and approving drawings by designers and/or vendors to ensure stations and compression units meet Kodiak design criteria and applicable industry standards
  • Providing technical guidance and oversight to engineers and designers in the development of electrical and control system designs
  • Collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Construction teams to ensure that customer requirements and special provisions are effectively incorporated into station and package designs
  • Supporting project execution by contributing to scope development, timelines, and design reviews
  • Leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for system or equipment failures
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, efficiency, and cost optimization
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory, safety, and engineering standards (e.g., ASME, NEC, B31.3, B31.8)
  • Attending all required Kodiak safety trainings and ensuring adherence to all Kodiak safety requirements
  • Promoting and reinforcing a strong safety culture for both yourself and fellow Kodiak employees
  • Mentoring and developing entry-level and junior engineers
