Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize embedded electronics hardware for motion control, servo drives, power electronics, motor control, and industrial automation systems.
  • Own electrical system architecture spanning power conversion, analog, digital, sensing, communications, and mixed-signal domains.
  • Perform component selection, circuit design, tradeoff analysis, and schematic development.
  • Contribute to hardware platform strategy, subsystem definition, and product architecture decisions.
  • Support PCB implementation, layout collaboration, stack-up design, grounding, thermal, DFM/DFT, and hardware integration activities.
  • Translate product requirements into robust, manufacturable, and scalable electrical designs and low-level engineering specifications.
  • Lead board bring-up, electrical debugging, characterization, and root cause investigation from prototype through production release.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mixed-signal, and power electronics issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power instrumentation, and engineering diagnostic methods.
  • Analyze switching behavior, efficiency, thermal performance, EMI/EMC, grounding, and signal integrity.
  • Develop and execute validation, verification, and hardware characterization activities.
  • Drive technical issues from initial symptom through corrective action and validated resolution.
  • Support hardware/firmware integration, system-level debugging, and motion control system development across the product lifecycle.
  • Support design verification, validation, EMC/EMI, safety, regulatory, and agency compliance activities, ensuring adherence to hardware development best practices and industry standards.
  • Support transition from prototype through manufacturing release, production readiness, and sustaining activities, including investigation of manufacturing, field, and customer-reported technical issues.
  • Manage projects independently, adapting to complexity and scale while collaborating across teams to align electrical development activities with product objectives and organizational goals.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Contribute to technology roadmaps and strategic planning for electronics development.
  • Lead and actively participate in all phases of the product lifecycle—architecture, implementation, review, documentation, testing, release, and long-term maintenance.
