About The Position

Test & Measurements (NI), an Emerson business, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer in Easthampton, MA. This role focuses on the design and development of custom hardware for complex test systems, requiring strong experience in hardware development, electrical test, and engineering documentation. The position follows a hybrid work model, with four days in the office and one remote workday per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical or hardware engineering.
  • Experience leading hardware development from concept through test and release.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and develop electrical schematics.
  • Experience with hardware bring-up, debugging, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with standard lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Experience creating and maintaining engineering documentation including test procedures, reports, and design documentation.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and project leadership skills.
  • Authorized working in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting design reviews and mentoring engineers.
  • Experience with analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design and test systems.
  • Experience with electromechanical system interfaces or aerospace/defense applications.
  • Familiarity with PCB design review and layout collaboration.
  • Experience in regulated or high-reliability engineering environments.

Responsibilities

  • Leading electrical design efforts from concept through validation.
  • Responsibility for schematic development, hardware bring-up, testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
