Join us and help run what runs the world. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will serve as a design authority for engineering projects within the Process Industries – Power Conversion sector. You will contribute to the successful delivery of moderate to large-scale projects by ensuring technical excellence, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with safety, quality, and cybersecurity standards.

Requirements

5–8 years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field, with hands-on exposure to the manufacturing industry.
Bachelor or Master's in Electrical Engineering.
Strong knowledge of power electronics, electrical and control schematics, and PLC programming.
Member of Order of Engineers of Quebec or in process of enrollment.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with customers in both remote and onsite settings.
French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
Willingness to travel within US and Canada for site activities (10-15% of the time).

Responsibilities

Lead the design and engineering of High-Power Rectifier systems, this covers concept of control, electrical schematics, PLC programming, etc.
Support sales and tendering teams with technical expertise during the bidding process.
Ensure all engineering activities follow internal guidelines and processes for successful project delivery.
Collaborate with manufacturing, testing, and commissioning teams to ensure proper assembly, staging, and installation of equipment.
Participate in shop testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of high-power rectifier designs.
Provide remote and onsite support to customers for rectifier systems.
Travel occasionally to Customer site to complete electrical testing and commissioning activities.
Seek and incorporate customer feedback to improve solutions and service quality.
