Requirements

Minimum of 8 years of electronic design experience
4-year technical degree from an accredited institution, with an emphasis on electrical or electronic engineering
Experience in a wide array of technologies is preferred
Self-starting, self-motivated, and a goal-oriented team member
Proficient user of Schematic Capture software (Altium a plus)
Exceptional at building and testing prototype PCBA
Proficient user of graphical presentation and documentation tools
Excellent computer skills including knowledge of common Office software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Possesses excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Has ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects at one time to meet deadlines
Possesses both the ability to work independently and work with a team to accomplish tasks
Travel both domestically and internationally (10%)

Responsibilities

Provide electrical concepts in support of project initiatives that will aid in the advancement of PSB product lines and broaden PSB's technical platforms and features
Determine electrical technical feasibility of new technology proposals
Develop new product specifications (wide range of technologies)
Create electrical designs in support of new technology efforts
Schematic development
Low volume PCBA builds
Works with Electrical and Mechanical Engineer(s) to optimize compatibility of electrical and mechanical portions of product design
Works closely with the project lead throughout ideation, concept development, and feasibility testing
Completes summary documentation, including research white papers
Executes the company’s Intellectual Property Strategy by recognizing and disclosing inventions and supporting patent applications
Supports development of instruction manuals, training manuals, and other consumer service information during technology transfer phase
Actively participates in and conducts competitive product analysis
