Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship (Required for project access).
  • BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Active Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in the design and specification of complex building systems (Power, Lighting, Fire Alarm, MV, and UPS).
  • Expert command of AutoCAD, Revit, AGI32, and SKM (Power Tools).

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
  • LEED Accredited Professional (AP), RCDD, or CDT certification.
  • Proven track record with large-scale federal government, institutional, or secure-facility renovations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Electrical Discipline Lead, directing the efforts of design teams and ensuring the technical integrity of all project deliverables.
  • Design and specify complex electrical systems, including medium-voltage power distribution, UPS systems, emergency generators, grounding, and high-performance lighting.
  • Lead the design of fire alarm, security, and telecom/data systems for high-security environments, ensuring absolute reliability and compliance.
  • Navigate the entire project lifecycle independently, from conducting existing condition surveys and writing technical reports to performing rigorous SKM and AGI32 calculations.
  • Perform comprehensive quality control reviews and technical audits on all assigned projects to maintain the firm’s standard of excellence.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and multidisciplinary partners, resolving complex engineering challenges during bidding and construction administration.
  • Utilize the latest technology—including AutoCAD and Revit—to generate high-fidelity models and As-Built documentation that push the boundaries of energy efficiency.
