This group primarily works on design-build projects that are industrial facilities for food and beverage clients. Here is an example of one of our projects - a state-of-the-art, 1 million sq. ft. plant for one of the largest carbonated soft drink manufacturers. In this role, you are responsible for assigned project designs, coordination, client communications, and associated construction administration. You will also be responsible for supervising team members assigned to projects, ensuring staff utilization, overseeing the work performed by the assigned staff, managing the project budget, and managing the project schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE)
  • 10+ years of electrical design experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Revit experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design interior lighting, exterior lighting, power distribution, grounding, lightning protection, telecommunications, and security
  • Document calculations reflecting design compliance with code and client-specific design requirements
  • Perform quality control reviews of documents including plans, specifications, and design calculations
  • Work with Project Managers to ensure that the project schedule is met and that complete documents are provided for each submission
  • Review contractor RFIs, shop drawings, and product submittals
  • Provide coaching/mentoring of assigned staff
