About The Position

Amteck is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to partner with a multidisciplinary team in developing electrical power system designs for construction projects across the country. The role operates in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment, with opportunities to optimize project safety, schedules, and profitability; provide technical support during construction; and lead project teams and proposal efforts. The position requires 10% travel.

Requirements

10 or more years of related experience.
P.E. license or ability to acquire one.
Ability to work methodically and analytically in a dynamic, quantitative problem-solving environment, with demonstrated critical-thinking skills.
Proficiency with the National Electrical Code.
Experience in electrical design and circuits.
Strong administrative, accounting, computer, and communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
Knowledge of construction principles and practices.
Experience dealing with subcontracts and subcontractors.
Ability to build trust and influence others internally and externally.
Proficiency with the National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE/ANSI standards.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and Revit.

Responsibilities

Develop designs of electrical power systems for construction projects.
Innovate project approaches to optimize safety, schedule, and profitability.
Train and mentor less experienced engineers in technical and professional development.
Perform quality control reviews.
Support clients during construction.
Perform field inspections, compliance documentation, and factory acceptance testing.
Lead a team of electrical engineering professionals to ensure project success.
Present designs and proposals to clients, permitting authorities, public interest groups, and others.
Correspond and meet with clients, contractors, and vendors.
Lead project proposal efforts.
