Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (advanced degree preferred)
  • 15+ years of electrical design engineering experience
  • Extensive experience designing switching power supplies or high-power power conversion systems
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics, switching topologies, power conversion, and high-voltage electrical design
  • Experience designing systems operating in the multi-kilowatt power range and high-frequency switching applications
  • Proven history of successfully completing complex engineering projects from concept through production
  • Strong hands-on engineering mindset with experience prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and refining designs
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Collaborative personality who enjoys working in a small, close-knit engineering environment

Nice To Haves

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline
  • Experience with ion implantation equipment or semiconductor manufacturing technology
  • High-voltage power supply design experience
  • Embedded controls or programming experience
  • Experience designing pulsed power systems

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of advanced high-voltage switching power supplies and pulsed power systems
  • Design power conversion systems that convert line power into high-power variable DC outputs
  • Develop new electrical designs while improving existing products for performance, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Lead projects from concept through design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and customer deployment
  • Design and troubleshoot high-frequency switching power electronics operating in the multi-kilowatt range
  • Collaborate directly with key semiconductor industry customers on next-generation technology initiatives
  • Integrate control systems, monitoring systems, and embedded electronics into complex power systems
  • Perform root cause analysis and hands-on troubleshooting of sophisticated electrical equipment
  • Work closely with manufacturing and technicians to support product development and production
  • Contribute to the long-term technical direction of the company's product portfolio
