As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the electrical design documentation that transforms architectural concepts into a buildable power plant. This includes creating single-line and three-line diagrams, wiring schedules, and system schematics for islanded Behind-The-Meter (BTM) microgrids. Your role will involve sizing systems, conductors, overcurrent protection devices (OCPD), disconnects, and switchgear across Medium Voltage (MV), Low Voltage (LV), and DC collection systems. You will also produce the technical inputs and basis-of-design that the Engineer of Record (EOR) will use for their stamp. You will report to the Director of Power Systems Engineering, translating system architecture into the drawing set that guides procurement, the EOR, and field operations. This role focuses on owning the design basis, the drawing set, and design quality, while coordinating the EOR's review and stamp. It does not involve being the project's stamping engineer of record or laying out controls logic, which is handled by the controls engineer.
