Senior Electrical Controls Engineer
About The Position
This position is responsible for the electrical design including schematic design, writing new PLC and HMI programs, and the startup and troubleshooting of custom web converting and coating equipment. The role involves developing applications of controls and systems, providing support during manufacturing and installation, and performing software maintenance and repair of equipment. The engineer will stay current with technical innovations, operate independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment, and adapt to changes in project scope and workload. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering: Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, System, Controls or similar
- 8+ years of experience with industrial controls in a project-based automation or machine design environment
- PLC programming: Allen Bradley, Siemens or Yaskawa
- Motion control programming of rotary and linear servo axes
- HMI Development: Visual Basic.NET, C#, Factory Talk
- Machine Vision application development for inspection with Cognex, Keyence or similar platforms
- Competent in the use of Auto-Cad Electrical
- Design electrical panels to meet UL 508A and electrical systems to meet NEC/IEC/CEC standards
