About The Position

The Morrisville (MSV) facility is Catalent’s center of excellence for nasal product development and manufacturing, providing end‑to‑end services from early formulation through clinical and commercial production. The site offers comprehensive nasal development capabilities, including analytical support, device selection, spray characterization, and both clinical and commercial scale for unit‑dose, bi‑dose, and multidose nasal products. The Morrisville site also provides development services for dry powder (DPI) and liquid pulmonary products including formulation development and optimization, method services and analytical testing. The Senior EHS Specialist is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, as well as all corporate requirements. Additionally, the Senior EHS Specialist acts as an emergency coordinator with authority to activate contingency plans and emergency procedures should an emergency occur.

Requirements

  • Must have Bachelor’s Degree in safety, environmental health, industrial hygiene, or other related field with combined EHS experience.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in EHS is required
  • Experience in DEA regulated manufacturing, R&D and analytical environments is required
  • Knowledgeable of regulatory and industry standards (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, FM, NCDENR, ACGIH, NIOSH, ANSI, GMP, GLP, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office suite of tools is required

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage EHS programs, as part of the EHS management system, including, but not limited to, risk assessments, job safety assessments, industrial hygiene, hazard communication, waste management, potent compound processes, and product specific handling requirements to ensure employee health and safety, as well as regulatory compliance
  • Conduct ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 internal audits to ensure fulfillment of ISO standards and identify deviations from ISO standards
  • Coordinate and conduct industrial hygiene assessment processes, including screening and monitoring, to determine employee personal exposure prior to, and following, control measures aimed at eliminating or minimizing employee exposure to hazardous substances
  • Conduct EHS audits, inspections, hazard assessments and investigations of violations as required and make recommendations as necessary
  • Conduct incident and accident investigations ensuring corrective actions are appropriate, and efforts are taken to prevent reoccurrence
  • Other duties as assigned
