About The Position

AlphaSense is seeking a versatile Senior Editor to shape content supporting its marketing, research, and thought-leadership goals. Reporting to the Editorial Director, this role is the primary editor for Research and Thought Leadership content, editing and occasionally writing across formats such as research reports, product and research articles, technical content, executive thought-leadership pieces, SEO articles, case studies, emails, and newsletters. The editor works directly with writers, offers clear feedback, and adapts to different working styles while keeping projects on track. Strong knowledge of financial markets and the ability to position content for an institutional audience are essential. The role also contributes to editorial project management, including the editorial calendar and alignment between content and campaigns. It works across events, brand, and revenue marketing, and helps maintain editorial processes and documentation. The position suits an organized, self-directed editor with strong editorial judgment and financial-services editing experience who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Requirements

7+ years of experience editing content for an institutional finance audience.
Exceptional editing and writing skills, attention to detail, and a strong command of grammar, syntax, and style.
Ability to distill complex, technical topics into digestible, engaging content for professional audiences.
Experience editing across formats and channels, including web, email, and social media.
Solid understanding of financial markets, industries, companies, and investing concepts.
Ability to research and interpret financial data, reports, and market trends to create accurate and compelling content.
Ability to collaborate with writers, editors, marketers, designers, engineers, and subject matter experts.
Ability to take feedback constructively and improve content based on editorial direction.
Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), Google Suite, Tableau, and project management tools such as Asana.
Familiarity with SEO principles and content marketing best practices.
Experience with data visualization and incorporating charts, graphs, and infographics into written content.

Responsibilities

Edit content for clarity, tone, voice, grammar, and style, ensuring materials are polished and professional.
Refine existing content to improve readability, flow, and engagement.
Proofread for grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors, maintaining quality and consistency.
Write copy, briefs, abstracts, headlines, summaries, and other short-form material for internal and external content promotion.
Partner with writers to develop thought-leadership content and occasionally contribute as a ghostwriter.
Coach writers and provide feedback they can apply to future work.
Apply editorial judgment to determine whether content meets standards or needs further revision.
Ensure content aligns with AlphaSense’s brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines.
Partner with marketing, product, and sales teams to understand AlphaSense products and services and communicate their value through content.
Coordinate with stakeholders across marketing and the broader company to gather input, align priorities, and support business goals.
Work with the design team to make content visually engaging and incorporate insights and data visualizations.
Monitor market and industry trends and competitor content to improve the quality and relevance of AlphaSense materials.
Optimize content for SEO and consider SEO during ideation.
Monitor published-content performance and recommend improvements based on data-driven insights.
Help manage the Research & Thought Leadership editorial calendar, maintaining visibility across reports, articles, webinars, events, newsletters, and campaign assets.
Maintain team process documentation, including style guides, intake processes, and workflow guides.
