About The Position

McCormick is seeking a Senior eCommerce Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for developing capabilities to accelerate profitable online growth and McCormick share across US retail omnichannel platforms and pure-play channels. The position leads day-to-day digital shelf execution, content optimization, and performance analysis to improve conversion and overall product content performance. It involves partnering with Sales, Category Management, Brand Marketing, Digital Operations, Retail Media, and external partners to deliver best-in-class execution, sustainable growth, and future-proof capability development. The role reports to the VP, eCommerce and Shopper Marketing and leads and develops multiple direct reports. The Senior eCommerce Manager defines strategy, manages execution, and continuously tracks and improves performance across Omnichannel retail platforms. They analyze McCormick eCommerce performance, sharing insights and action plan recommendations with Senior Leadership. The role also tracks the digital commerce & Retail Media environment for new services and platforms to identify new capabilities and business opportunities. Key responsibilities include leading digital shelf excellence by optimizing PDP content, keywords, images, ratings/reviews, and taxonomy to improve discoverability and conversion, and influencing Retail Media and Search strategy and execution. Additionally, the role leads the development of the US Consumer Sales Omnichannel Capabilities Road Map, partnering with various teams to integrate digital commerce strategies, grow customer intimacy, and increase McCormick sales and share. The position also focuses on building eCommerce expertise across customer-facing teams, coaching and developing employees through training, aligned KPIs, and organizational goals, and managing workplans and development of 4 direct/indirect reports. Secondary responsibilities include supporting annual operating plans and business review materials, developing playbooks and standard operating procedures, coaching junior team members, benchmarking competitor activity, and representing eCommerce in cross-functional meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital commerce, category management, or omnichannel sales.
  • Direct/indirect supervisory experience.
  • CPG industry experience with omnichannel customer teams.
  • Demonstrated experience managing retailer.com and/or marketplace platforms (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, Target).
  • Strong analytical capability with proficiency in Excel and business intelligence/reporting tools.
  • Exposure and thought leadership in the digital space.
  • Experience with digital shelf and performance metrics, including conversion, ROAS, share of search, and OOS.
  • Ability to inspire others through passion for achieving success.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication & organizational skills required.
  • Displays curiosity and learning agility, proactively developing expertise in data management, analytics, and AI‑readiness.
  • Management responsibility for cross-functional team in a matrixed environment.
  • Leadership and decision making that impacts multiple functions.
  • Translates data into actionable insights with business-building or risk mitigating recommendations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with syndicated and eRetail analytics tools and managed service providers (e.g., Profitero, Circana, DetailPage).
  • Hands-on experience with retailer specific platforms and retail media platforms and agency collaboration.
  • Working knowledge of PIM/DAM systems and content governance.

Responsibilities

  • Defines strategy, manages execution, and continuously tracks and improves our performance across Omnichannel retail platforms.

  • Shares insights with Sales Leadership Team and at National Sales Meeting.
  • Manage workplans and development of 4 direct/indirect reports.
  • Support annual operating plan and monthly business review materials.
  • Develop playbooks and standard operating procedures for key eCommerce processes.
  • Coach junior team members on platform best practices and analytics.
  • Benchmark competitor activity and recommend test-and-learn opportunities.
  • Represent eCommerce in cross-functional meetings and change initiatives.
