About The Position

The Senior Electro-Mechanical Assembler assembles, tests and repairs precision electromechanical parts, assemblies and equipment. Examine parts for defects, aligns, fits and assembles parts into completed units. Knowledge of soldering and de-soldering circuit boards. Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, specifications and technical procedures to determine methods and sequence of assembly operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 5-10 years experience in manufacturing complex electro-mechanical subassemblies, major assemblies and systems
  • Must be capable of working independently from engineering drawings, schematics, performance specifications, quality standards and customer repair orders
  • Intermediate-level computer operations skills required for access to technical data or other required documents
  • IPC-A-610 Workmanship
  • J-STD-001 Soldering
  • Strong math abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of CAD systems and Mechanical software
  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015/AS9100 systems

Responsibilities

  • Following prescribed test procedures, apply knowledge obtained from formal education or work experience to use basic test equipment such as multimeters to troubleshoot, debug and make routine measurements on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies.
  • Working independently, set up and/or use test equipment that requires interpretation of data, including oscilloscopes, signal generators and other specialized test equipment to test, align, calibrate, and troubleshoot to verify proper product function. Repair and replace defective parts and components as required.
  • Perform analysis of data to check and verify applicability, practicality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications.
  • Set‑up and operate complex test and/or experimental equipment, record test data, process the data and present the data.
  • Discuss technical problems encountered with Team Leader, a more senior level technician, or Engineering.
  • Perform a variety of functional and operational tests while establishing procedures and data sheets for transitional programs or product improvements. Work with Manufacturing or QMO Engineers to smoothly transition new products and test procedures to manufacturing floor.
