About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Ecommerce Specialist to join our team for an 18-month contract. This role will focus on optimizing the digital experience for visitors, enhancing conversion rates, and ensuring that our online presence aligns with business objectives. In this role, you will combine your expertise in content strategy, CMS management, and user experience understanding to improve landing pages, drive strategic initiatives to boost performance, and provide key financial reporting related to ecommerce activities. The ideal candidate is data-driven, a natural mentor, and has a passion for creating seamless and high-converting user experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in web optimization, ecommerce, digital marketing, or conversion rate optimization.
  • Strong proficiency with CMS platforms (Webflow, WordPress, etc.).
  • Expertise in tools like Google Analytics, Hotjar, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Expertise in landing page design, UX/UI best practices, and analytics-driven decision-making.
  • Experience with content governance and establishing content workflows, approval processes, and publishing guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and key ecommerce performance metrics.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience taking full ownership of A/B testing programs—from ideation to summarizing results and translating them into actionable next steps—is a strong plus.
  • Experience with testing and landing page tools such as VWO, Unbounce, and Optimizely is considered a strong asset.
  • Previous experience mentoring junior team members or guiding team processes for efficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend and implement marketing and promotional strategies on site that support overall business goals, with a focus on driving traffic, increasing conversions, and improving customer retention.
  • Collaborate with creative, product and ecommerce teams to design and test landing pages and ensure they are aligned with marketing and campaign objectives and follow best practices for user experience (UX) and brand (UI).
  • Lead regular content audits to ensure all content is up-to-date, relevant, and optimized for both user experience and SEO performance. Partner with the SEO Specialist to continuously analyze how content is structured on the website to improve content discoverability and customer journey.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess performance and adjust strategies for optimal outcomes.
  • Own the A/B testing lifecycle from beginning to end: Generate hypotheses and testing ideas, manage the testing roadmap, execute experiments, and provide clear summaries of results.
  • Translate testing outcomes into actionable implementation strategies and clear next steps to continuously optimize the customer journey and key ecommerce funnels.
  • Design, test, and optimize landing pages to maximize lead generation and conversion.
  • Continuously analyze website performance using user behavior insights and heatmaps to identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the website’s CMS, ensuring seamless content updates, publishing workflows, and system management.
  • Act as a mentor and process guide for the Ecommerce Content Coordinator, providing team leadership to improve workflow efficiencies (Note: this is a mentorship and guidance capacity, not direct people management).
  • Establish and enforce content governance policies, including publishing guidelines, content approval processes, and best practices to maintain content consistency and quality across the site.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to optimize the CMS backend, enhancing agility in content updates and driving greater operational efficiency.
  • Support the Director, Digital Experience & Ecommerce to provide key financial reporting related to ecommerce activities, ensuring smooth operations and optimization for user experience, performance, and sales.
  • Collaborate with Digital Analysts to define, track, and report on content performance, providing actionable insights to optimize future content efforts.
  • Partner with marketing, creative, product teams to align content initiatives with broader company goals and marketing campaigns.
  • Work with SEO partner to optimize content for organic search performance and user engagement.
  • Work with marketing and product teams to understand service offerings and ensure content reflects the latest updates, offers, and promotions.
  • Ensure content is consistent with the company’s brand, voice, values, and messaging across all touchpoints on the website.
