About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Drupal Developer to develop, maintain, and support web applications and content management systems used to publish and distribute products. The role works across front-end, back-end, and database layers and is responsible for quality and timely delivery. The developer maintains Drupal sites and supports content operations across Drupal- and WordPress-based sites, as well as custom content management systems running on a LAMP stack with Tomcat, Solr, and PHP. The position also develops API and relay services, analyzes and validates data across systems, implements responsive and accessible front-end functionality, and participates in testing, security scanning, and deployments. The developer collaborates with Information Management staff and technical teams to ensure accurate data and metadata flow, supports daily publishing, follows and improves standard operating procedures, and maintains technical documentation, release notes, and runbooks.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; four years of experience may be substituted for the degree.
At least five years of related experience developing and supporting Drupal-based web applications.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, requiring U.S. citizenship.
Hands-on Drupal development experience (Drupal 9/10 or later), including module, theme, and configuration management.
Proficiency in PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with Linux/LAMP environments.
Experience consuming and building REST/JSON APIs.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools, and deployment automation such as Ansible.
Working knowledge of Section 508/WCAG accessibility requirements.
Strong troubleshooting, attention to detail, and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize work in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of Apache Solr.
Experience with WordPress.
Experience with Apache Tomcat.
Experience with Google Analytics.
Experience in federal or government web environments.
Acquia Certified Drupal Developer or similar certification.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Drupal sites, including custom modules, themes, content types, views, and workflows.
Support content updates for Drupal- and WordPress-based sites with thorough QA practices.
Support and troubleshoot custom-built content management systems running on a LAMP stack with Tomcat, Solr, and PHP.
Develop and maintain API and relay services between internal systems and the public website.
Write and optimize SQL queries and scripts to analyze data and verify consistency and accuracy across multiple systems.
Implement front-end functionality using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring responsive and accessible design.
Participate in testing, security scanning, and deployment of application updates using Ansible and CI/CD pipelines.
Work with Information Management staff to ensure metadata and product data flow correctly through web and internal database environments.
Support daily publishing and content-posting operations, troubleshooting and resolving issues that could impede timely posting of products.
Follow documented standard operating procedures (SOPs) and recommend improvements to repeatable processes.
Collaborate with Information Management staff, system developers, QA, and security teams to ensure accurate flow of data and metadata across system environments.
Maintain technical documentation, release notes, and runbooks.
