About The Position

3-Rivers Drilling & Blasting is seeking an experienced Senior Drill Operator to operate cabbed rock drills, including mine-style production drilling equipment, while safely meeting production goals in challenging ground conditions. This role supports mining and drilling operations throughout Utah and Nevada and may require day or night shifts, overtime, and extended schedules depending on project needs.

Requirements

3+ years of professional drilling experience required (senior-level experience preferred)
Experience operating Sandvik Di650 Leopard DTH rigs or similar equipment
Ability to consistently meet production goals, including footage-per-hour expectations
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Reliable transportation to and from job sites
Strong commitment to safety and following established procedures
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in remote and changing conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation

Nice To Haves

Experience operating Sandvik DP1500i Top Hammer rigs or similar equipment preferred
MSHA 5000-23 Experienced Miner certification preferred/current

Responsibilities

Safely operate production rock drills while maintaining efficiency and consistent output
Monitor ground conditions and adjust drilling techniques to improve performance and minimize equipment wear
Complete daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance and operational upkeep
Follow MSHA requirements, company safety procedures, and job-site policies
Maintain accurate documentation and production records as required
Communicate effectively with supervisors and project teams regarding equipment performance and job conditions
