GFT is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sr. Drainage Engineer requiring regular attendance at either our Miami office or embedded at FDOT District 6 office in Miami, FL. In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of drainage solutions for a variety of transportation infrastructure projects throughout Florida, with a strong focus on supporting the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and other public-sector clients. What you’ll be challenged to do: You’ll support transportation and infrastructure projects by preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, drainage designs, and permitting documents. Your work will involve hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater management design, and ensuring compliance with FDOT and local standards. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications, and permitting documents. Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, including stormwater collection system analysis. Develop stormwater management designs and obtain permits in compliance with state and local regulations. Perform reviews of drainage designs, plans, and reports for FDOT and municipal transportation projects. Ensure design quality, technical accuracy, and compliance with applicable FDOT standards and guidelines.
